About Christ Our Savior
Christ Our Savior is a mission of the Wyoming District of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. The Lutheran Church Missouri Synod is a family of 2.6 million Christians gathered into more than 6000 congregations throughout the US. Our church body was formed more than 150 years ago by a small band of immigrants in America dedicated to preaching and teaching the Gospel of the forgiveness of sins through Jesus Christ alone.
We believe:
The Bible is the inspired, inerrant Word of God.
All people begin life separated from God, cannot save themselves and deserve eternal punishment.
Jesus Christ, God's Son and true God, having also become true man, lived, suffered and died for the sins of all people so that we need not remain separated from God.
All who repent of their sins and believe in Jesus Christ alone as their Savior have forgiveness of sins and eternal life with God.
Each person is saved from eternal separation from God only by the grace of God who works the gift of saving faith in Jesus through the Gospel. God works and sustains faith in Christ through His means of Grace: His Word and Sacraments.
In response to God's saving gift Christians will strive to live holy lives by serving God and their neighbors.

Word of God_
We are a church that honors the Bible as the written Word of God. God speaks to us through His Word. Through the Bible Christ Jesus rebukes, comforts, forgives and guides His people through the difficult and confusing questions and decisions we face in our lives.
We believe strongly that Jesus is with us and rules His church today through His Word. We are committed to reading, studying and growing in His Word.
Our church's deeply spiritual and reverent liturgical worship is filled with the Word of God, through which Jesus blesses us with His holy presence and peace.
Cannot save ourselves_
Jesus Christ won salvation for all of mankind through His death and resurrection because there is no way we sinful, less-than-perfect people can save ourselves from our sin. We need God to save us, we need God to forgive us our sin so that there no longer is this sin-barrier between us and God.
Jesus Christ defeated death, sin and the devil by dying in our stead on the cross to pay for the debt of our sin and thereby winning forgiveness and eternal life for us. He now freely gives or grants us this forgiveness and eternal life through the means of His Grace: His Word (the Bible) and His Sacraments (Baptism and the Lord's Supper).
Sacraments: 1. Baptism and 2. The Lord's Supper_
1. Baptism At baptism, there are simple means by which God bestows His Grace on the person being baptized: water and His Word. By the application of water and the spoken words of our Lord: "I baptize you in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit", God gives the person new life in Jesus Christ, by the washing away of sins and "rebirth of the Holy Spirit", making him/her His own, and out of whose Hands he/she can be separated by no one or nothing.
2. The Lord's Supper: At the Lord's Supper celebrated in the Divine Service, by eating the bread and drinking the wine, we receive the very body of Christ broken for us on the cross and receive His very blood that He shed for us on the cross, thereby being united with Christ like nowhere else on earth. In addition, Christ thereby hands us the victory over death and sin which He won on the cross, and grants us forgiveness of sins and eternal life. What joy!
The Lord's Supper is a very sacred, though joyous, celebration. And we celebrate it in a responsible manner, the way in which Christ Himself instituted it. Therefore we come in repentance, come in faith in Christ and believe in His bodily presence in this Sacrament.
If you would like to receive this great gift from Christ, please come and speak with the pastor before the service or contact him by telephone 307 - 883 7285 or by e-mail.
