Sunday School
Christ Our Savior highly values teaching children about Jesus' love for them and that through His suffering and death on the cross and resurrection, He has attained eternal life for them which is theirs through faith in Him.
Bible-based teaching and learning is top priority. That's why the "Growing in Christ" curriculum from Concordia Publishing House is followed. It is Christ-centred, Bible and catechism based, rich in content as well as fun!
Memory work is also highly encouraged. A schedule for memorizing the catechism, Scripture passages, psalms and hymns is sent home with the kids, is made fun and is rewarded with praise and fun gifts. Who knew that memory work could be such fun!
Singing is also part of the fun. For special festivals, like Christmas Eve, Palm Sunday, Good Friday, Easter, The Good Shepherd Sunday, to name a few, programs and/or songs are rehearsed and performed during the respective services, thus integrating the Sunday School kids in the service.
